Live and breathe the beauty of South Africa Work with and help save rescue horses Experience the magic of the wild Help improve horses’ lives

Most of the horses at the Equine Rehabilitation Sanctuary have been rescued from poor backgrounds and brought here to be well cared for, loved and re-trained. Some were orphaned in the wild and would not survive unless taken in by the Sanctuary while others are simply unwanted pets. Volunteers will become fully involved in the daily lives of the horses, riding and training them and helping with feeding, grooming and general care.
Anyone with a love for horses will greatly benefit from time spent at the Rehabilitation Sanctuary. Through building relationships with these vulnerable yet trusting animals you will be rewarded by seeing them develop a new confidence with people and by helping them start on the road to recovery and a long, happy and worry-free life. You will be spending lots of time outdoors in the sunshine and get to experience the thrill of riding through an untouched nature reserve full of African wildlife.
