‘Behind the Scenes’
Polo Experience

Argentina

The ‘Behind the Scenes’ Polo Experience is the perfect opportunity to visit a working Polo Estancia (ranch) and stud farm in the wilds of Argentina, to get a real insight into the working lives of the polo players, riders, trainers and ponies. The focus is on the ‘behind the scenes’ aspects of polo – breeding, training, schooling and what it takes to run a successful polo pony stud in Argentina.

You will spend your time working alongside the staff and grooms helping to train and school the polo ponies as they are prepared for their future careers in polo. Ponies from the ranch are sold across Argentina and are in great demand for export across the rest of the world. You’ll also be able to play some polo and chukkas with fellow volunteers and local players.

Gain experience in Argentina’s long standing tradition of horse breeding and training while also learning about the Latin Spanish language, South American culture, history of Argentina and living in the spectacular Pampas grasslands setting.
