This project is designed to offer all volunteers a unique insight into African life.

You will explore the culture of Mozambique, develop your riding skills and make a real difference to the local communities. At this project you will develop a wealth of knowledge about equine management, improve your riding skills and experience real Africa.

The Jewel Of Africa Project offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in horse riding and equine management in the stunning country of Mozambique. Enjoy life and experience azure waters, white sandy beaches, palm trees and pristine coral reefs. The snorkeling and diving is superb and you are likely to spot whales, dolphins, turtles, and the only viable dugong population remaining in that part of the world.

You will be involved in a wide variety of activities with the horses – including daily care and routines, grooming, feeding, riding and going out on trail rides on local beaches and across the surrounding countryside. You will also be able to help out by teaching local village children to ride – an opportunity created and maintained for them by volunteers on this project.
