Imagine riding accross the African plains, surrounded by wildlife and endless sunny skies. The Horseback Safaris project has it all – excitement, adventure, wildlife, fun and of course – horses! This is a fabulous hands on project based on a private wildlife reserve in the South African bush. Fun and adventure is the name of the game, along with taking out horseback safaris into the bush!

Most of your time at this project will be spent with the horses - assisting with their care and welfare, riding out in the wildlife reserve and viewing game from horseback. It's amazing how close you can get to wild animals on the back of a horse! After an exciting day in the saddle there are many other things in camp to keep you busy – you can learn about conservation, ecology, wildlife management and animal behaviour.





The project is surrounded by some of South Africa's biggest game reserves and is close to the world famous Kruger National Park, so there are lots of opportunities to go on driving safaris and get involved in wildlife conservation projects in and around the reserve.
