Located in the lush, tropical cloud forests and jungles of Costa Rica, life at this project is amazing. You will be living amongst some amazing wildlife - playful monkeys, sloths, lizards, frogs, exotic birds, insects and some of the most beautiful butterflies you will ever see. Sea turtles nest along the coastlines while the surrounding forests protect leopards, ocelots and other big jungle cats.

The Cloud Forest Costa Rica Project is based at a large family stables that offers jungle and beach rides to locals and overseas guests. Trail rides take you high up into the cloud forests, through the jungle, in and out of rivers and streams and offer amazing views of the ocean and surrounding landscapes.

Volunteers will become involved in all aspects of daily life at the project, with the horses and their care routines. You will also be assisting with and even leading out trail rides and horseback tours for guests, proudly showing them the area in which you are staying and pointing out the amazing wildlife and scenery.
